No matter where your hotel is in Waikiki there is easy access to restaurants that are local favorites.

Hula Grill Dining Waikiki

Outrigger Waikiki Hotel
On the beach, on the second floor of the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel. The Hula grill is a favorite for the “Happy Hour” crowd in Waikiki. The best fish and chips with a beautiful view of the sunset make the Hula Grill a “must do” for visitors and locals. Get there early, it’s a very popular location.
Cheeseburger in Paradise Waikiki

Cheeseburger in Paradise
Cheeseburgers and beer are popular and Waikiki and Cheeseburgers in Paradise is the place to go.
Located in the midst of Waikiki’s most famous surfing beach, this is where the locals hang out. You can join them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Great selection of craft beers in the sports bar.

CINNAMON’S AT THE ILIKAI

CINNAMON’S AT THE ILIKAI
A favorite location for dining is the waterfront at the Waikiki Yacht Harbor which is just west of the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
The Ilikai (il-e-ky) is one of the few Waikiki Beach vacation condos on the waterfront.
Cinnamon’s restaurant offers a great view with gentle breezes blowing through the open-air seating. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village is within walking distance of Cinnamon’s and the Chart House
Chart House Waikiki Dining

Chart House
The Chart House is a local dining favorite with local Hawaiian musicians playing in the lounge in the evenings.
Close to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, walk along the waterfront harbor and you will find it.
Get there early for a seat along the window for a great view of the yacht harbor.
If you see Pupus on the menu, don’t worry, Pupu is the Hawaiian word for snacks and small plates.
Go ahead and try the Ahi, raw tuna with Shoyu and ginger. Delicious!

10 minutes by taxi or city bus from Waikiki hotels, an evening at the Ward Center puts you in the center of the “local favorites” dining and shopping district.

On the waterfront, at Pier 38 there are several restaurants that serve freshly caught fish from the waters off-shore.
Enjoy a selection of today’s catch. Taxi or city bus, it’s not far, reservations recommended. It gets busy.

Ala Moana Center Shopping and Dining

Ala Moana Local Favorite
From Waikiki, there is a trolley that takes you around the district, including the Ala Moana Center.
There are lots of restaurants and shops to entertain you for an entire day.
Ala Moana Beach Park is at the coast, a short one-block walk to where the locals swim and sit under palm trees.
Take a short walk to Magic Island for a good view of Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead Crater.
There are walking paths and safe swimming for the kids.
